App Name: QRFast
Effective Date: August 9, 2026
Last Updated: August 9, 2026

QRFast ("QRFast", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, processed, collected, used, stored, and shared when you use the QRFast mobile application (the "App").

QRFast is designed primarily as an on-device QR code and barcode utility. Core scanning functions, including processing camera images, selected photos, scanned code content, and scan history, are generally performed locally on your device.

However, QRFast also uses third-party advertising, analytics, attribution, and related software development kits ("SDKs"). These third-party services may process certain device, usage, advertising, diagnostic, and technical information as described below.

By using QRFast, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information Processed by QRFast

1.1 Camera

QRFast may request access to your device's camera so that you can scan QR codes and barcodes.

Camera frames used for QR code or barcode scanning are processed locally on your device. We do not upload or store your camera images on our servers for QR code scanning purposes.

Camera access occurs only after you grant permission through the iOS permission system.

You may revoke this permission at any time through your device settings.

1.2 Photos and Images

QRFast may allow you to select an image from your photo library to recognize a QR code or barcode contained in that image.

Images selected for scanning are processed locally on your device.

We do not upload the photos or images you select for QR code recognition to our servers.

1.3 QR Code and Barcode Content

QRFast may process information contained in QR codes or barcodes that you scan.

Depending on the code, such information may include:

The content of scanned QR codes and barcodes is processed primarily on your device for the purpose of displaying scan results and enabling related actions.

We do not intentionally transmit the content of your scanned QR codes or barcodes to Firebase, AdMob, Meta, or AppLovin for advertising or analytics purposes.

1.4 QR Code Creation

QRFast may allow you to generate QR codes containing information that you voluntarily provide.

This may include:

Information used to create QR codes is processed locally for the requested QR code generation function.

We do not intentionally upload the contents of QR codes you create to our servers.

Please be careful when creating QR codes containing confidential information. Anyone who obtains and scans a QR code may be able to access the information encoded in it.

1.5 Scan History

QRFast may store your previous scan results so that you can access them again.

Scan history may contain:

Your QRFast scan history is stored locally on your device.

We do not upload your QRFast scan history to our servers.

You may remove individual records or clear your history using available functionality in the App.

Deleting QRFast from your device will generally remove locally stored QRFast data, subject to any backup or restoration functions provided by Apple or other device services.

2. No Account Required

QRFast does not require you to register or create an account to use its core QR code scanning and QR code creation functionality.

Accordingly, we do not require you to provide information such as your name, email address, password, or phone number to create a QRFast account.

3. Advertising, Analytics, and Attribution Data

Although QR code content and selected images are processed locally, QRFast integrates third-party services for purposes including:

Depending on your device, region, privacy settings, consent choices, App configuration, and the SDK involved, these services may process information such as:

The exact information processed varies depending on which SDK functionality is enabled and the permissions and privacy choices available on your device.

Google's documentation states that its Mobile Ads SDK may process information including IP addresses, device identifiers, advertising data, performance information, crash information, and user interactions.

Firebase Analytics may automatically record certain events and user properties, and its collection behavior can be configured by the developer.

Meta's SDK may automatically record certain application events unless automatic App Event logging is disabled.

AppLovin states that its advertising services may process categories such as device and operating system information, app/session information, IP address, country and locale, IDFA, IDFV, network information, advertising preferences, and advertising/event information.

4. Third-Party Services

QRFast may integrate the following third-party services.

Google Firebase

We may use Firebase services, including Google Analytics for Firebase, to understand general App usage, analyze feature performance, diagnose technical issues, and improve QRFast.

Depending on the Firebase products enabled, Firebase may process technical, application, device, analytics, diagnostic, and identifier information.

Google notes that the exact Firebase disclosure requirements depend on which Firebase SDK targets and features are installed and enabled.

Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads

QRFast uses Google AdMob or Google Mobile Ads services to display advertisements and measure advertising performance.

Google Mobile Ads may process device information, identifiers, IP addresses, advertising interactions, performance information, and related data for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, and service improvement purposes.

Depending on your consent choices and applicable law, advertisements may be personalized or non-personalized.

Meta

QRFast may use Meta technologies, including the Meta/Facebook SDK or App Events, for advertising attribution, campaign measurement, analytics, and advertising optimization.

Meta SDK functionality may record information about application installs, sessions, launches, purchases where applicable, and other configured App Events.

AppLovin

QRFast may use AppLovin advertising technologies, including AppLovin SDK or MAX, for advertising delivery, mediation, measurement, attribution, optimization, fraud prevention, and analytics.

AppLovin may process device, application, network, advertising identifier, advertising event, and related information depending on user permissions and advertising settings.

Advertising and Mediation Partners

Where advertising mediation is used, additional advertising technology providers may participate in the delivery or measurement of advertisements.

Where required by law, information about participating advertising providers may also be presented through the consent interface available within the App.

These providers may process information under their own privacy policies and may act as independent controllers or processors depending on the relevant service and processing activity.

5. Advertising and Personalized Advertising

QRFast may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising partners.

Advertisements may be:

Where required by applicable law, we obtain consent before using personal information for personalized advertising or similar tracking purposes.

You may refuse personalized advertising without losing access to the core QR code scanning functionality of QRFast.

Refusing personalized advertising does not necessarily mean that you will stop seeing advertisements. You may instead receive contextual or non-personalized advertisements.

6. App Tracking Transparency

Apple requires applications to obtain permission through the AppTrackingTransparency ("ATT") framework before accessing the IDFA or engaging in tracking as defined by Apple.

Where QRFast or its advertising and attribution partners engage in activity that requires ATT authorization, QRFast will request your permission through Apple's system prompt.

7. External Links

A QR code may contain a link to a third-party website.

QRFast may allow you to preview, copy, or open that link.

If you open an external website, that website may receive information associated with your network request, such as your IP address, device or browser information, and other technical request information.

If QRFast retrieves online information to generate a link preview, a network request may also be sent to the relevant website or supporting service.

Third-party websites operate independently from QRFast and are governed by their own privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the privacy, content, or security practices of third-party websites.

8. How We Use Information

Information processed through QRFast and its integrated services may be used to:

We do not intentionally use the contents of your scanned QR codes, photos selected for scanning, or locally stored scan history to create advertising profiles.

9. GDPR and European Privacy Rights

This section applies where the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") or similar European data protection laws apply to our processing of your personal data.

The GDPR may apply to organizations outside the European Union when they offer services to individuals in the European Union or monitor their behavior there.

9.1 Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on the processing activity, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases.

Performance of a service or contract

We process information when necessary to provide functionality that you specifically request, such as scanning a QR code or creating a QR code.

Consent

Where required, we rely on your consent for activities such as:

Legitimate interests

Where permitted by law, we may process limited information for legitimate interests such as:

We balance these interests against your rights and freedoms.

Legal obligations

We may process information when necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, court orders, or other legally binding obligations.

These categories correspond to legal bases recognized under Article 6 of the GDPR.

9.2 Consent for European Users

Where consent is required, QRFast will provide an appropriate consent mechanism before activating processing that requires consent.

For advertising in the European Economic Area where Google's policies apply, Google requires disclosures and consent for certain local storage and personal-data uses associated with advertising and personalization.

You may refuse consent or withdraw previously provided consent.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing performed before consent was withdrawn.

Where available, you may change your privacy choices through the privacy or consent settings within QRFast.

9.3 Your GDPR Rights

Subject to applicable requirements and exceptions, you may have the right to:

The GDPR specifically establishes rights of access, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent in applicable circumstances.

To exercise a privacy right relating to QRFast, contact:

[email protected]

We may need to request reasonable information to verify a request where necessary.

Please note that we cannot remotely access or delete information that exists exclusively on your device, such as locally stored scan history. Such information can be deleted directly within QRFast or by removing the App.

Information controlled independently by a third-party SDK provider may also need to be managed through that provider's privacy tools.

9.4 Right to Withdraw Consent

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Withdrawal will apply to future processing and will not affect processing that was lawful before your withdrawal.

You may also separately manage Apple's tracking permission through:

iOS Settings Privacy & Security Tracking

9.5 Right to Lodge a Complaint

If you are located in the European Economic Area and believe your personal data has been processed in violation of applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority.

We encourage you to contact us first so that we can attempt to address your concern.

10. International Data Transfers

QRFast may use service providers that operate in countries other than the country in which you live.

As a result, advertising, analytics, attribution, diagnostic, or technical information may be processed outside the European Economic Area.

Where GDPR requirements apply to an international transfer, we or the relevant service provider will rely on an applicable lawful transfer mechanism, which may include:

GDPR Chapter V requires international transfers of personal data to comply with applicable safeguards.

You may contact us for further information regarding applicable safeguards.

11. Data Retention

Different categories of information are retained for different periods.

Local QRFast Data

We generally cannot access or restore locally deleted data.

We seek to retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant processing purpose.

12. Data Sharing

We may disclose limited technical, advertising, analytics, attribution, or diagnostic information to:

We do not intentionally provide third-party advertising partners with:

for the purpose of creating advertising profiles.

13. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction.

We also minimize transmission of QR scanning content by performing core QR recognition and history storage locally on your device.

However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

14. Children's Privacy

QRFast is a general-purpose utility and is not directed specifically at children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

Where applicable law requires parental or guardian consent for the processing of a child's personal information, such processing should not occur without the required authorization.

If you believe that information relating to a child has been collected improperly, please contact us at:

[email protected]

We will review the request and take appropriate action where required.

15. Your Device and Privacy Controls

Depending on your device and region, you may control certain data practices through:

Disabling a permission may prevent the corresponding feature from working but should not prevent you from using unrelated QRFast features.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect:

When we update this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date above.

Where required by law, we may provide additional notice or request renewed consent before materially changing how personal information is processed.
